A very nice news clip from Global News about the castle and explains everything very well.
P.S. remember….my first choice is a partner.

Thank you to for such kind words and moral support. The community of Cape Breton has proved to me that this is where I belong!! So many of you are hoping I can get a partner and move forward with the vision of making it a public place for all to enjoy. Stay tuned and thank you again from the bottom of my heart❤️

Hello I wanted to take a moment to share some important news with all of you about the Castle Knight of Cape Breton. Please read to the end.

As many of you know, my best friend and partner, Rose, who co-purchased the castle with me two years ago, recently passed away.

The attached news clip was the day we bought it two years ago in January 2024. One week later Rose was diagnosed with leukaemia and she eventually passed in March of 2025. She never made it back to the castle.

For the past two years I have been working diligently on the castle, which has undergone extensive renovations and landscaping. While I have been very committed to this project, I find myself managing it alone and really want to have a partner.

Together, Rose and I envisioned our retirement to be transforming this beautiful space and 163 acres into a community hub for outdoor events, music, the arts, tourism, accommodations, weddings, housing and so much more for local people to enjoy as well as tourists. I am almost there!!

My first preference is to find a partner who shares Rose’s and my vision, allowing us to complete this dream and open by spring.

If a partnership isn’t possible, the only other option is selling the castle, hoping that the next owner will appreciate its potential and share the same vision for the community.

I will post the link for the castle listing looking for a partner or buyer. Unfortunately, there has been some comments on Facebook that are not correct about the facts so I wanted you all to hear it directly from me.

I will always remain hopeful for a partnership that honours Rose’s memory and we can continue this project through.

Thank you all for following this page and being part of our journey. I’ll keep you updated on the next steps.

With gratitude,
Elaine Knight
