North Hastings Children's Services Provides quality services and supports to enhance the well being of children and families in partnership with our community.

We're here to support children, youth and families and provide the resources you need for prenatal to teen. Ministry of Education licensed childcare, EarlyON Centres, Algonquin Inodewiziwin Indigenous programs, Yourspace Youth Centre, Intersections, a Youth Advisory Board, parent workshops, prenatal support, in-school programs, playgroups, Triple P Parenting resources, literacy support, and so much more! Through multiple sites, schools and outreach we service all 7 townships and municipalities in North Hastings.

🎃👻 A week full of Halloween fun at Baby Beginnings! 🧡

This week, we enjoyed some spooky sensory fun with edible pumpkin playdough, explored our Halloween sensory bin, and got moving with fun gross motor activities! 🎃🍂 From squishing and squeezing to scooping and moving, there were so many opportunities for learning through play!

We love creating playful experiences that encourage curiosity, creativity, and learning through hands-on fun. Every little moment is a chance to discover something new! 🥰✨

Fall is here, and our EarlyON program, Healthy Busy Bodies, is ready for some seasonal fun! Join us every Thursday from 10AM to 12PM for fall-inspired activities that encourage movement, creativity, and exploration while celebrating the beautiful colours and excitement of autumn.

From active games to hands on fall activities, there’s always fun to keep our little bodies moving and minds engaged! Join us every Thursday as we play, learn, move, and make wonderful memories together!

🎃🧡 Daddy N’ Me: Pumpkin Palooza was a smashing success! 🧡🎃

What a gourd-geous night of fun, laughter, and memories! 🍂✨ Last night was filled with smiling faces as our amazing dads, male caregivers, and their little ones came ready for a night of fall fun, hands-on activities, and quality time together! 🥰

From rolling pumpkins in our 🎃 Pumpkin Roll Contest to getting creative with pumpkin carving, making ooey-gooey pumpkin slime, and erupting with excitement over pumpkin volcanoes 🌋, there was never a dull moment!
We filled our bellies with a delicious BBQ dinner featuring burgers and coleslaw 🍔😋 before wrapping up the evening with a hilarious Balancing Gourd Challenge that kept everyone on their toes! 😂🎃

A HUGE thank-you to Dillabough Millwrighting for sponsoring our event! 🧡 Your generosity and support helped make this special evening possible, creating opportunities for dads, male caregivers, and children to connect, laugh, and make lasting memories together. We truly appreciate your support! 🙌❤️

Join EarlyON every Wednesday from 10am–12pm at the Pentecostal Church – Lower Level, 311 Hastings St. N.

Kitchen Connections is an interactive program where children and families can bond, connect and learn together while preparing and enjoying a delicious home-cooked meal. 🥕🍝

Children have opportunities to build independence and confidence in the kitchen while learning alongside our Nutrition Wellness Facilitator and Red Seal Chef, Shaun! 👨‍🍳✨

🎃🧡 Pumpkins, Potions & Little Scientists!🌋🔬

Things got a little messy and a LOT of fun at Bird’s Creek After School Program!

Our little explorers dove into sensory play and science, investigating pumpkins both inside and out! From working together to design and carve a few pumpkins to creating exciting pumpkin volcanoes using everyday household supplies, the children had a blast learning through hands-on discovery.

Big imaginations, curious minds, teamwork, and a whole lot of pumpkin fun!
