Drop-in for some board games between 12pm-2pm on Wednesday.

Call-in to secure a seat for Thursday's Summer Euchre game 12:30pm-3:30pm: $5 a seat- winner earns a prize!

Friday is a PA DAY and school is out for the summer! Call-in to sign up for Noticing Nature- a virtual STEM education session by Scientists in Schools. June 26th at noon!
This program is intended for children aged 4-12 years and is totally FREE!

You are not obligated to be a library member to join our programming!

Small Town Shorts- Early Bird Deadline is now just two months away!

Create a new short (under 6 minutes in length) never screened publicly, or shared on social media, on the theme of ‘New Beginnings.’

Submit the short film to Small Town Shorts and your short could be selected to be screened at the Aron Co-op Theatre on October 1, 2026. You also might win the prestigious Scrappy Award!

Pick up a submission form from North Hastings Public Library, or via the Small Town Shorts website https://www.smalltownshortsfilmfest.ca/submissions

You can submit your short film via email or drop it off on a USB stick with a completed form at one of the participating libraries.

Let's start the summer off right! Friday June 26th is a PA Day and you will be off for summer break!
Come in or call the library at 613-332-3380 to pre-register for a seat at the table as we learn about the ways of Noticing Nature with Scientists in School educators at noon (12pm) on Friday June 26th, 2026.

Limited seating available at the North Hastings Public Library (14 Flint Ave. Bancroft, ON). Pre-register early to secure your seat!

Take-home Science Bags are available for those who are unable to make it to the library on the given day/time but will be able to join the session virtually.

This week at the North Hastings Public Library (Bancroft):

Wednesday June 17th drop-in for boardgames between 12-2pm.

Last sessions before summer break to join Loom Knitting- join Eleanor's Creations on Wednesday June 17th between 4pm-6pm and Thursday June 18th between 10am-noon.

Thursday June 18th you can join the discussion and share a recipe for cook-a-book club between 3pm-4pm - this months theme is summer salads!

To finish off the week, we have Littles at the Library on Saturday June 20th at 10am- Join us for a story and a craft to create something for Father's Day.
