***** Please Note: While the Boil Water Order has been lifted for the Village, residents in the 100 and 200 block of Queen Street are asked to continue taking Boil Water precautions. This precaution is due to work continuing in this isolated area. ******

Good News! Confirmation has come from Alberta Health Services, and the Boil Water Advisory has now been lifted for the Village, effective immediately.

Regular water consumption habits can now return to normal, as boiling is no longer required.

Here’s how to flush, clean, and sanitize areas that have had contact with water after the boil water advisory ends:
- Turn on all taps and flush water lines for at least 5 minutes.
- Read and follow the manufacturer’s instructions for flushing, cleaning, and sanitizing water filters, and ice and water dispensers.
- Drain and refill hot-water tanks that are set below 45ºC.
- Run water softeners through a regeneration cycle. Follow the instructions from the manufacturer.

****Important Notice****

The improvements to the water system have been completed and water service restored. However, due to the loss of water pressure, the Village will be in a Boil Water Advisory. This advisory will remain in effect until such time as water samples can be provided. Alberta Environment has been notified and will advise us when the Boil Water Advisory can be lifted.

Thank you to Mayor Clinton Bishop - For Barons for attending on behalf of the Village and its residents, and to Mayor Jack Van Rijn - Mayor - Town of Coaldale for sharing photos, video and his perspective on the project.

The Piyami Lodge rebuild is a much needed and very welcome project in Picture Butte that will continue to ensure our populations can age in comfort close to home. Thanks to all who have campaigned tirelessly for this important upgrade, and to those elected officials in attendance today.
