FCSS Staff will be busy celebrating seniors in the Lethbridge County for Seniors' Week! Lot of celebrations underway this week with collaborations with many of our communities and/or senior centres.

Today at 1:00 pm, the Village held its Organizational meeting and the Council-elect was sworn into office.

Please welcome your new member of Council, Mayor Clinton Bishop, who will be working alongside Deputy Mayor Belinda Rempel and Councillor Kyle Prince as your three-person Council for the Village.

We congratulate Mayor Bishop on his election and look forward to working together over the next term.

The Organizational Meeting will take place on Tuesday, June 2 at 1:00 pm in Council Chambers.

The Un-Official Results of the 2026 Municipal Byelection is:

BISHOP, Clinton - 71
PASSMORE, Brian - 34
PROST, Sharon - 0

Voting turnout - 106 ballots cast. 105 valid ballots, 3 spoiled ballots = approximately 48% of eligible voters.

Results will become official on Friday

It's Byelection Day!

Voting takes place today (Monday, May 25) at the Barons Community Hall at 209 Noble Street from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

If you’re already on the voter list, one piece of government-issued photo ID with your name and address is enough.

If your ID lists a P.O. Box or mailing address and/or you’re not on the voter list, you’ll need a second piece of ID showing your residential (civic) address. Examples of which include a utility bill, insurance statement, or bank statement.

You can vote for one (1) candidate, or you can choose not to vote. Do not select more than one name, or your ballot will not be counted.
