🎓 𝕎𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕔𝕠𝕦𝕝𝕕 𝕪𝕠𝕦𝕣 𝕗𝕦𝕥𝕦𝕣𝕖 𝕝𝕠𝕠𝕜 𝕝𝕚𝕜𝕖?

This summer, 27 Pembina Hills students spent a week finding out! 🔎

At our third annual Career Camp, students explored everything from agriculture and entrepreneurship to heavy equipment, energy, health care, forestry and welding — while building resumes, learning about apprenticeships, exploring financial literacy and gaining hands-on experience along the way.

From operating heavy equipment at Kiewit to exploring careers with Pembina Pipeline, trying out welding with NAIT and getting behind the wheel of forestry simulators, students had plenty of opportunities to learn, try and discover what might be next. 🙌

A huge 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗞 𝗬𝗢𝗨 to all of the businesses, organizations and presenters who shared their time, expertise and enthusiasm with our students!

🚌 School is back in session, and that means motorists are, once again, seeing school buses on our roads! Let’s keep our students safe.

Please remember to 𝗦𝗟𝗢𝗪 𝗗𝗢𝗪𝗡 and watch for school zones, crossing students and school buses.

🚸 𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗟 𝗭𝗢𝗡𝗘𝗦: Watch for posted school-zone signs and follow the reduced speed limit during the designated times. Give yourself extra time and be prepared for children who may be crossing or walking near the roadway.

🛑 𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗟 𝗕𝗨𝗦𝗘𝗦: When a school bus has its red lights flashing, Y̳O̳U̳ ̳M̳U̳S̳T̳ ̳S̳T̳O̳P̳. Stop at a safe distance and do not proceed until the red lights have stopped flashing and it is safe to do so.

A few extra seconds can make a difference. Please stay alert and help us make getting to and from school safe for everyone. 💙
