Barrie Food Bank The Barrie Food Bank provides food relief to individuals and families in our community who are in need, and supports them on their journey towards well-being.

Barrie Food Bank provides food relief at no cost to individuals and families of our community who are in need, and supports them on their journey towards well-being. We collect food donations throughout the year, and with a team of 200 volunteers, we distribute this food to over 6000 individuals each month.

Come join our mission as Manager, Fundraising & Donor Engagement!

Are you a creative, strategic thinker who loves building relationships, connecting with the community and making a meaningful difference? This opportunity may be for you!

We're looking for an enthusiastic fundraising professional to help grow the support that makes Barrie Food Bank's work possible. From developing fundraising campaigns and cultivating donor relationships to securing grants, engaging community partners and bringing creative ideas to life, no two days are quite the same!

This role is all about connecting people with purpose, building meaningful partnerships and inspiring generosity to help support individuals and families experiencing food insecurity in our community.

We're looking for someone with strong relationship-building, communication and organizational skills, a passion for fundraising, and the ability to turn great ideas into results.

If you're passionate about people, our mission and making an impact in our community, we'd love to hear from you!

This , we want to celebrate the incredible generosity of our community during the Barrie Food Bank Thanksgiving Campaign! ❤️

Every donation, every food drive, and every contribution brings us closer to our goal. Thanks to the generosity of local businesses, schools, churches, community groups, and individuals, we continue to build the support needed to help families in our community put food on the table.

Volunteer Spotlight: Meet Rob! 🌟

Meet Rob! Rob is a retired electrical inspector who also spent many years working in manufacturing. He lives right here in Barrie and is the proud parent of two wonderful married children.

After retiring, Rob wanted to find a meaningful way to support the community and gain a sense of accomplishment. At Barrie Food Bank, he supports our team with food recovery from local grocery stores. For Rob, the most rewarding part of volunteering is the camaraderie with his fellow team members, sharing a mutual commitment to helping others. Being part of the food recovery team, Rob especially enjoys representing Barrie Food Bank in the community where the gratitude for our work is so noticeably felt.

Thank you, Rob, for your dedication, hard work, and commitment to making a difference in our community. We are so grateful to have you on our team! 💙

GlobalMedic is delivering a van full of McAntony’s Menu food to the Barrie Food Bank, helping put nutritious, familiar ingredients into the hands of families across Barrie and the surrounding region.

From green peas and kidney beans to other high-protein staples, these foods are selected with everyday cooking in mind, helping families access ingredients they already know and use.

This delivery was made possible through the dedication of a GlobalMedic volunteer who also volunteers with the Barrie Food Bank, bringing our teams together to get food where it’s needed most.

A big thank you to our friends at the Barrie Food Bank for helping us turn this donation into meaningful support for local families.

A HUGE thank you to every individual, company, organization, school, and club across Barrie that has supported our Thanksgiving Campaign. Whether you’ve donated food, contributed financially, or organized a food drive, your generosity is making a real difference in our community. 💙

But we still have work to do, and we need YOU! 🙌 With just 4 days to go before Thanksgiving, let’s come together to reach our goal and help ensure more families in our community have food on their tables.

Barrie Food Bank will be closed Monday, October 12, for Thanksgiving.

We will reopen Wednesday, October 14, during our regular hours to welcome and serve our clients.
Thanksgiving looks different for everyone. This weekend, we hope there are moments of kindness, connection and comfort, however you choose to spend it.

🦃☀️ Another successful Turkey Drop with Rock 95 and Zehrs Bayfield! 💛

What an amazing day of community spirit! We loved working alongside the Rock 95 team, welcoming listeners, and seeing our incredible volunteers come together to collect donations and make a difference.

Thanks to your generosity, 229 turkeys and $1,927 were raised to help Barrie Food Bank continue providing food support to individuals and families in our community. 🧡

A huge THANK YOU to Rock 95, Zehrs Bayfield, our dedicated volunteers, and everyone who stopped by to donate and support this important cause. Every turkey, every dollar, and every act of kindness helps put food on the table for our neighbours.
