Please see post below. Batchawana Bay is currently benefiting from having an ambulance stationed and responding to our community from Goulais River Fire station. This is happening thanks to the Sault North Pilot Project. This is something we want to be permanent! ๐Ÿš‘

During Paramedic Services Week, we extend our sincere thanks to the paramedics who serve our communities every day with professionalism, care, and commitment. ๐Ÿš‘

Their work spans a large and diverse geography, and ensuring they are supported with the right tools and resources is essential.

As part of this, Paramedic Services is currently piloting a deployment model in the Sault North area. The pilot places a transporting ambulance in the north while adjusting PRU placement within the city to better support overall response needs.

Itโ€™s one way we are working to strengthen service across both northern and urban communities.

Happy National Volunteer Week. Thank you to the volunteers who work to keep our community safe.

Our volunteer firefighters arenโ€™t just neighbours helping outโ€”they are highly trained professionals who meet the exact same NFPA standards as full-time crews. They donโ€™t just show up when itโ€™s convenient; they:

โ€ข leave family dinners at a moment's notice

โ€ข jump out of bed for 3:00 AM calls

โ€ข step away from their "day jobs" the second the pager sounds

These individuals are the backbone of our fire services, protecting over 80% of Ontarioโ€™s geography. ๐ŸŒฒ๐Ÿšœ

This , weโ€™re looking past the gear at the people behind it. To the firefighters balancing careers, families, and the sudden ring of a pager: We see the dedication it takes to serve your community at 3:00 AM and still be at your desk by 9:00 AM.

Thank you for the commitment it takes to balance both roles. ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿš’
