A few announcements regarding school start up next week.

1) Like last year…. Drop off times in the morning will be between 8 - 8:25 am. Students cannot be dropped off before this time as there will be no supervision.
2) If you would like busing information, please visit the Anglophone North School District site and click on the bus planner section to view drop-off and pick-up times as well as bus numbers.
3) There will be a staggered entry for grade 6 students this year on Tuesday September 8th (please pack a lunch as no cafeteria service will be available). All students will be joining us on Wednesday September 9th.
5) Information regarding the new Provincial Subsidized Lunch Program will be posted and sent home shortly.
4) Please be aware that some information will be posted on our page if you are not already a member. We also have a new Superior Middle School webpage that will be updated throughout the year.
5) 2-3 Activity block will still happen here at SMS. There will be no 2 pm bus run for students to go home, but walkers or those students that are being picked up can leave at 2:15 pm. All buses will depart SMS at roughly 3:10 pm.
6) If students have their own laptops or purchase a laptop, they are welcome to bring them in as we have a BYOD program and can connect them to our wireless network. We have roughly 40 more students compared to last year and will fall below the 1/1 ratio that we’ve had in the past. We will work at purchasing new laptops throughout the year, but not all students will be guaranteed a laptop to start the year.
7) Meet the teacher BBQ will be on Wednesday September 16th from 5:00 pm – 6:30pm for all students and families.

We would like to take this opportunity to wish the Blazer community a happy Summer. We extend our best wishes to our grade 8 learners who are moving on to BHS in September! We look forward to welcoming our new grade 6 students and reconnecting with our returning Blazers ☺️

Happy Monday Superior Middle School families,

We have quite a few report cards that were not handed out on Friday. Our office will be open Today and tomorrow from 8:30 am - 3:00 pm if you would like to pick them up. If not they will be delivered by mail at the end of the day tomorrow.

We are ready to celebrate our students!

You may have heard of Oz-fest but yesterday BlAzErFeSt rocked 🤘at local schools as the SMS choir🎶, concert band 🎺and rock bands 🎸were on tour. Between the double header performances, students had a lunch and learn at BHS. We are hearing rave reviews about this collaborative, community initiative. Special thanks to the teachers & volunteers for their dedication and commitment to our aspiring musicians.

Tonight’s opening performance was pure GOLD! It’s not too late to snag the last remaining tickets for tomorrow’s encore performance of this “Spaghetti Western!” Be ready to cheer and clap and occasionally boo (it’s part of the show), and trust me, it’ll be “impastable” not to have a mighty fine time!
