Our Fall Yoga sessions kick off soon! Whether you want to move through a dynamic Tuesday 5:15 PM Flow or sink into a deep Tuesday/Thursday 6:30 PM Stretch, we have a time slot designed to help you de-stress.

🚛 Important Notice: Waste Collection in Construction Zones 🚛

Is your street currently dug up or restricted due to ongoing roadwork (including the 3rd Avenue Crescent Upgrade Project and neighboring construction areas)?

Because regular collection trucks cannot access front streets that are under construction, temporary collection measures are in place:

🗑️ Garbage Pickup: Loose, securely bagged garbage will be collected behind your property (in back alleys/3rd Ave Trail) for all residences directly affected by street construction. Please ensure bags are tied tightly and placed where crews can access them.

🌿 Compost Collection: Compost is picked up on Mondays by request only. If your street is impacted and you need compost collected, please call the Town Office in advance to schedule a pickup.

Please note: These temporary adjustments apply to any residence where front street access is currently blocked due to active construction.

🚧 Battleford Trail Resurfacing🚧

If you’re heading out for a walk, run, or ride this week, take a quick look at the highlighted pathways on the map. Our trail resurfacing project is officially underway! Fresh asphalt and tar are being laid over the next few days, with all work expected to wrap up by the weekend.

To keep everyone safe and ensure our new trails cure perfectly, please keep these quick tips in mind:

✅ If you see work crews on the trail, please step aside and give them plenty of room to operate heavy equipment safely.

✅ Fresh tar needs at least 36 hours to set completely. Walking, biking, or letting pets on warm asphalt leaves permanent footprints and can ruin your shoes (or paws!).

✅Obey all posted detour signs and trail closure barricades, even if you don't see active work happening at that exact moment.

Property Tax Reminders ⏰

As the summer season draws closer to autumn, residents of Battleford are reminded to ensure their property taxes are paid up before the end of August, as penalties begin in September and extend to January.

👉 Note: Online bank payments can take up to 5 days to process. Payments made online on or after August 31 that reach our system after the deadline will be subject to the penalty.

🙋‍♂️You are encouraged to contact Town Hall if you have any questions regarding property tax balances due by August 31. We look forward to hearing from you!

As summer winds down, here are some important dates and times to keep in mind (weather permitting):
🟢Saturday, August 22nd: 11:00 am – 7:30 pm
🔴Sunday, August 23rd- CLOSED
🟢Monday, August 24th- 11:00 am- 7:30 pm
🟢Tuesday, August 25th- 11:00 am- 7:30 pm
🏁 LAST DAY OF THE SEASON: Wednesday, August 26- 11:00 am- 7:30 pm

Thank you to all the kids and families who joined us for fun in the sun this season! We hope to see you at the Tot Lot and enjoy these last few park days before we close up for the summer!

Please be advised that the Town of Battleford has established a regular schedule for Council Special Meetings, occurring on the 1st Monday of each month.

Upcoming scheduled dates:

Tuesday, September 8, 2026 (moved due to Labour Day)
Monday, October 5, 2026
Monday, November 2, 2026

Note: Special Meetings are held in closed session and are not open to public viewing. Regularly scheduled Special Meetings will not occur in April, July, August, or December.

📢 PUBLIC NOTICE: Town Council Meeting Schedule Changes

Please be advised that the Town of Battleford Council meeting schedule for the remainder of 2026 has been updated.

Meetings will now occur once a month on the 3rd Monday of each month as follows:

September 21, 2026
October 19, 2026
November 16, 2026
December 14, 2026

Note: The previously scheduled meetings for Sept 8, Oct 5, and Nov 2 are cancelled. If a statutory holiday falls on a meeting date, Council will meet the following Tuesday.
