Employment Opportunity: Operator/Maintenance Position Temporary Full-time (Seasonal)

The Town of Bay Roberts is currently accepting applications for a Temporary Full-Time (Seasonal) Operator/Maintenance position at the Bay Arena.

Under the direction of the Manager of Stadium Operations and Events, the successful applicant will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Bay Arena, including the ice surface, facility systems and related equipment.

The position involves ice and facility maintenance, operation of related equipment, general building maintenance, public supervision, and other duties associated with the day-to-day operation of the Bay Arena. Shift work is required, including evenings and weekends.

Application Deadline: Monday, August 17 at 2:00 p.m.

-Family Swim: All children must be accompanied by an adult in the water.

-General Swim: All children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult in the water.

Please follow these rules and treat our staff with respect. They are simply enforcing the policies that are in place to help keep everyone safe. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Registration for our FOURTH & FINAL set of Summer Group Lessons and Private Lessons will open THURSDAY at 9:00 PM and will CLOSE FRIDAY at 5:00 PM.

⏰ Registration will only be open during this time, so don’t miss out!

🏊 Spots are first come, first served and fill up quickly, so be sure to register as soon as registration opens!

🏊 Lesson Information

Group Lessons:
Our final group lesson session runs August 10–21. Group lessons are held Monday to Thursday for two consecutive weeks, and your child will attend at the same scheduled time each day, Monday through Thursday, for the duration of the session.

Private Lessons:
Private lessons are booked one lesson at a time. Each registration is for the specific date and time you select, so please choose the lesson that best fits your schedule.

🏊‍♀️ LESSON LEVEL INFORMATION

👶 Parent & Tot 1, 2 & 3
These lessons are for children under 3 years old. A guardian MUST accompany the child in the pool during the lesson.

🧒 Preschool
Preschool levels are for children who are under 5 years old.

🏊 Swimmer 1
Swimmer 1 begins when a child is 5 years old.

⭐ Swim Patrol (Rookie, Ranger & Star)
Swim Patrol is for swimmers who have successfully completed all Swimmer levels 1–6.

❓ Unsure of your child’s level?
If you’re unsure which level to register your child in, we strongly recommend booking a private lesson so they can be assessed. Alternatively, register them in the lowest level appropriate for their age.
