Our first round of Naloxone Training is in the books! 👏

We had members of our Independent Living Support (ILS) team come together to build the knowledge and confidence needed to support individuals who use substances through a harm reduction lens. Every opportunity to learn helps us provide safer, more compassionate, and person-centred support.

Thanks to everyone who took part, we’re excited to continue rolling this training out across our teams!

On Friday, June 26, our Men’s Wellbeing Group gathered at the YMCA of Halifax/Dartmouth for another incredible meeting. We were thrilled to see such a great turnout, with participants coming together to build connections, support one another, and explore ways to give back to the community.

We were also excited to welcome CBC/Radio-Canada , who spoke with several participants about what the Men’s Wellbeing Group means to them and how MCL is helping create a space where everyone belongs.

We’re so proud of our participants for building a group that empowers, inspires, and reminds us of the power of connection. Their stories reflect what MCL is all about: meeting people where they are, fostering meaningful relationships, and creating opportunities for individuals to thrive.

💙 Thank you to everyone who continues to make this group such a success!

Wishing Courtney a very happy belated birthday! We hope your day was as amazing as you are! 🎂☺️

What an incredible Men’s Wellbeing Group meeting this week at the Halifax Public Libraries Keshen Goodman branch.

Everyone contributed ideas on topics they want to learn about, charities they want to support, and community initiatives they want to be involved in. Together, we developed a Statement of Respect and a mission statement that truly reflects the voices and values of the group.

We are looking forward to seeing the impact this group will have in our community.
