People don't understand the sheer size of governments. The Canadian Federal government is spending $462 Billion this year... (more than $12,000 a PERSON). The sheer amount of value there should make our country so much better and yet it feels like we are going backwards.

The uneven approach to protesting in this country under the Liberals is unfair. This individual is NOT a formal Wet'suwet'en leader, is illegally blockading pipelines, and is being charged with criminal contempt.

She has also raised over $1,000,000 for her illegal activities - I wonder if these donations will be seized and the donator's names publicized? What is good for the goose is surely good for the gander... right?

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. And when the cure is higher interest rates, you can only wonder how much better shape our economy would be if we prevented the Liberal government from printing all that money in the first place...

The Bank of Canada will make its key interest rate announcement this morning as inflation remains well above its target. Many economists are forecasting the central bank will raise interest rates by three-quarters of a percentage point.

High interest rates and a recession are unavoidable if you have a government who refuses to drop spending. COVID19 required massive fiscal stimulus, everyone can appreciate that. But the lockdowns are over and our governments continued overspending is just making a bad problem worse.

The Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives projects that up to 850,000 jobs could be lost if the Bank of Canada's interest rate increases trigger a recession.
