Food insecurity is a community challenge, and it takes a community effort to address it.
Thank you to our partners at the OPP and the Auxiliary Program for supporting Operation Full Plate and helping collect food for local food banks and families in need. We're proud to see local collection sites, including Madoc Foodland and Metro Quinte West, making it easy for residents to give back.
If you can, add an extra item to your cart and help fill a plate for a neighbour. Visit the OPP website for the complete list of participating locations across the region.
Members of the Program will be supporting Operation Full Plate, a province-wide food drive aimed at helping local food banks and families experiencing food insecurity.
Across Central Region, Auxiliary volunteers will be collecting non-perishable food items and other essential donations at participating grocery stores in Bracebridge, Alliston, Hastings, Campbellford, Brighton, Collingwood, Thornbury, Gravenhurst, Orangeville, Midland, Orillia, and Huntsville. Every donation, big or small, can help stock local food banks and provide support to members of our communities in need.
If you're out shopping, consider picking up an extra item and dropping it off at one of the participating locations. Donations will be accepted until October 3, 2026. Together, we can help fill plates and support our neighbours. Find a drop-off location near you at opp.ca/fullplate !
