Wednesday, July 22nd!!

There is a province wide 911 service disruption impacting Manitoba, excluding the City of Winnipeg.

Some residents may be unable to reach emergency services by dialing 911.

If 911 does not work, you can call:

UPDATE: Manitoba 9-1-1 service has been successfully restored following a service interruption outside of Winnipeg earlier today. Both wireless and landline emergency call services are available again.

Bell MTS is diagnosing an issue that may not allow 9-1-1 calls to be placed outside of Winnipeg. Within Winnipeg 9-1-1 services remain active.

Please continue to dial 9-1-1 as your first option. If you cannot get through for medical emergencies, the Manitoba Transportation Coordination Centre can be reached directly at: 204-625-2111.

PUBLIC NOTICE – OVERLAND FLOODING

The Municipality is currently experiencing overland flooding in several areas as a result of last night's rainfall.

Residents and motorists are advised to exercise extreme caution when travelling on municipal roads. Water may be covering road surfaces, road shoulders may be unstable, and conditions can deteriorate rapidly.

For your safety:

Reduce your speed and drive according to road and weather conditions.

Do not attempt to drive through standing or flowing water if the condition of the roadway beneath cannot be confirmed.
Be alert for washouts, erosion, soft shoulders, and other road hazards.

Obey all road closure signs, barricades, and traffic control devices.
Municipal staff are actively monitoring conditions, inspecting affected roads, and responding to areas of concern as quickly as possible. Road closures and travel advisories may change as conditions evolve.

The Municipality appreciates the public's patience and cooperation as crews work to ensure the safety of our road network.
