The weather may not be cooperating with many of the Gala day activities, but I hope you can get out to support some of the organizations who have canteens and BBQs going. Central Kings( and West Kings) Gator Football team have an awesome BBQ chicken dinner on for only $20.00! They’ll be there till 4 PM if you can make it over to Rainforth Park!

It may not have been a great weather day, but there was still lots of activity out and around Kings West today! It started out at the Jollyworkers breakfast in Black Rock with Heather, Emma and the grandkids! From there we dropped in to the North Mountain United Tapestry market in Harbourville to catch up with some residents there and check out some of the vendors. Afterwards I visited the Western Kings Community Fair in Tremont! This is a great old fashioned fair celebrating the agriculture heritage of our region. I was happy to again do a shift in the canteen with the Marshall family! Finally I drove back to Berwick to visit the fair grounds for Gala Days. It be have been a damp day, but it was great to see many families out and around! Happy to be finished up at our place in Morden watching some of the gray waves and skies over the Bay of Fundy! I’ve also spoken with many colleagues in Cape Breton about the damage they are receiving because of the heavy rains and flooding there. Please keep that part of the province in your prayers! They will need a lot of support!

Recently I stopped by to congratulate my good friends Sonny and Debbie Fredericks on their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug 28! Happy anniversary Sonny and Debbie!here’s to many more years of health and happiness together!!
