April 11 is a day to celebrate our members and close out the year with a fun evening of socializing off the ice & raising some funds for the club through a fun auction of items donated by our members & community. RSVP by April 1 and consider donating an item for the auction, see you there!

Another great Beginner Bonspiel completed! We welcomed teams of curlers on Sat for a fun, one day event that was aimed at inexperienced curlers to introduce them to the experience of Bonspieling! Big thanks to the volunteers & organizing committee, these events depend heavily on their support!

Berwick Curling Club hosted the Kings County Special Olympic curling group at an event on Sunday that brought together the Kings, Queens & Lunenburg county athletes. Way to go curlers, thanks for bringing the gang to curl with us in Berwick!

With great sadness the Berwick Curling Club & Community is mourning the loss of a great friend and supporter, Shelley LeBlanc. Shelley lived with passion, generosity, and a deep love for others. In the curling community, she wasn’t just a coach — she was a steady voice, a patient mentor, and someone who truly believed in the potential of every player. Because of her, many didn’t just grow in the sport, they grew in confidence.

But what stood out most was her love for her family. She spoke of Claude with quiet devotion, and of Ashley and Andrew with unmistakable pride. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment with them.

Her legacy isn’t measured in wins, but in the lives she touched. She will be so deeply missed. Our thoughts are with her family & friends at this time.

Girls Rock is a FREE female-led, female-participant “try curling” event, for girls aged 9-16, that focuses on FUN experiences, new SOCIAL connections, and creating welcoming spaces for girls to share the JOY of curling.

The Berwick Junior Curling Program will be hosting Girls Rock at the Berwick Curling Club
When? Saturday, January 31, 2026
What time? 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where? Berwick Curling Club - Larsen Curling Centre - 250 Veterans Drive, Berwick (inside the Kings Mutual Century Centre/AppleDome, first door on your right)
Cost: Absolutely nothing - This is a FREE EVENT!

Goals of Girls Rock:
1. Introduce curling in a fun, safe, and inclusive space for girls of all backgrounds, sparking interest in sport and building confidence to try something new.
2. Challenge limiting beliefs by showing girls what they’re capable of—reshaping their perceptions of their potential through positive sport and social experiences.
3. Promote friendship, leadership, and self-esteem by supporting girls’ physical, mental, social, and emotional development through play and teamwork.
4. Showcase women role models and encourage life-long participation in sport—helping address gender inequities and inspiring lasting involvement from girls, families, and communities.
