Today is finally the day with some beautiful weather!

Any community members who would like to join us for the walk, can meet in front of the school in our Bus Loading Zone at 10:30am.

We will have a Hot Dog Lunch after the walk at the back of the school. Hot dogs are available for purchase for $2.00 - a drink is $1.00!

We look forward to seeing you there!

Unfortunately we have cancelled our Talent Show for this week! We've had some performers back out due to other commitments.

Our Drama Club is going to continue through till the end of the year, and then continue next fall!

We are hopeful we can reschedule for an appealing time next year and have a full lineup!

Thank you to everyone for their support in this endeavour and thank you to the people who signed up! We'll see you in the fall 🎭

A special shout-out to Ms.Johnston who's commitment to increasing our extracurricular opportunities in the Arts in unwavering!

It's Mental Health Week at BCI this week!

Today we kicked off with a school wide 'Duck Hunt' that promoted positivity, team work, and only a little competitiveness (debatable)!

We talk a lot in our building about mental health and promoting tools and strategies for when we're having a tough time. We know that if our mental health is not taken care of, everything in our lives can suffer.

This week we'll be talking a lot about mental health and wellness, with activities scheduled throughout the week!

Tomorrow is Red Dress Day - please wear red to help spread awareness, and tomorrow we look forward to learning more about how we can support the efforts of the MMIWG2S Movement!

This week take some time to reflect on your own mental health, use positive strategies to support it, and check in with those you love!

Birtle Collegiate Falcons have had an incredible Badminton season!

We have placed in multiple middle years competitions (shout out to Mr.Kirk for his organizing / coaching), and this past weekend we sent 10 players to the MHSAA Badminton Provincials in Winnipeg!

All teams did amazing with many moving onto playoffs. Tiff and Brody had a great tournament coming home with the Bronze Medal in JV Mixed Team!

With so many players participating from BCI, and then moving onto playoffs - our school was recognized as the top A/AA school in the JV category for points.

Congrats to our players and coach, Mr.Madsen! Well deserved!

Our Grade 5s and Grade 6s will wrap up badminton at BCI this week!
