What an awesome time in Erieau !

This morning my son and I attended the kite festival in Erieau. The wind was a little light this morning but we still got to see a few kites make it up.
Some were very non traditional kites and the whale kite was so big ! I have never seen anything like it.
I loved that the event was free to attend and that these enthusiasts put this event on out of their own interest.
It's is on today and tomorrow in the afternoon if you get a chance to stop by. Talking to one of the kite flyers, he said they have some night flying kites that light up, I would really like to see that.

Chatham Kent needs more events like this one !

People have come from all over North America and some from across the ocean to fly their kites in little Erieau !

My son and I brought his kite, we had it up for a bit while the wind was cooperating. We had a great time on the beach.

Wow. Highgate !!!

This morning I attended the unveiling of the new mastodon sculpture in downtown Highgate.
There were many people in attendance. Check out the picture. they don't do the sculpture justice. I can't imagine the work that it took to make it.

After the ceremony I slipped over to Walt and Rudy's for lunch. I always enjoy the cheese burger and fries. So good.

Just a reminder that Internet voting is coming to a close today and advanced polls are open .
Election day is October 26th.

Happy Thanksgiving!

i hope that everyone is enjoying the day with family and friends.
With the rain on Sunday I know that my farmer friends are getting to enjoy the day at home instead of the cab of a tractor or combine.

As the election is approaching very quickly I will take this time to remind everyone to get out and vote. There are many options with internet voting, advanced polls and in person voting on October 26th.

No better way to celebrate Ontario's Agriculture week than in the cab of a tractor prepping to plant wheat !
By the end of the week everyone should be seeing lots of farm equipment on the roadways.

Last night I brought my kids out to see the Ridgetown Rebels play their season opener.
We had a great time! The stands were packed and to top it off Ridgetown won !!!

When we walked into the arena I immediately noticed something was different. Over the summer some renovations took place. What a difference! Job well done. That arena needed those changes years ago. The investment shows commitment to our hometown arenas, at times these arenas are a HUB for the local community. Keeping them open and active in the community is important to me .

I am looking forward to taking the kids to their first Blades game soon !

I just reached into this box and grabbed the last handful of cards before I start the next box.

2500 cards !! a hundred or so were given out at meet and greets but the rest were used for door to door campaigning.

I don't have a team of people for door to door campaigning. it's just me.

I am pretty proud that I visited that many doors.

I have a few weeks left to get through the next box !
