Thank you, Sentinel subscribers...
for $7,962 donation to NSHN Foundation!
Yesterday, a donation of $7,962 was presented to North Shore Health Network Foundation by The North Shore Sentinel on behalf of its subscribers. On hand for the presentation were Sentinel Publisher Randy Rankin, left, Editor Brent Rankin, Office Administrator Nancy Rankin, and NSHN Foundation Development Officer Charlyn Beneteau. When it was announced earlier this year that The Sentinel was ceasing operations on March 26, all subscribers were offered the option of having their prepaid subscription balances donated to the NSHN Foundation. Sentinel Editor Brent Rankin says that many subscribers took advantage of this option and the near-$8,000 has been turned over to the Foundation. "We want to thank and acknowledge all of our Sentinel subscribers who chose to donate their refund to the Foundation," Mr. Rankin offered. "We want to thank the Foundation, too, for their help in receipting the many individual eligible donations; this is a great time to be supporting the Foundation - thank you, all."
"While we were saddened to have to discontinue publishing and miss intereacting with all of our amazing subscribers," Mr. Rankin shared, "we are delighted to be able to pass along these donations in support of local health care."
