In recognition of the tremendous work our staff have put into learning and implementing the changes that came into effect on July 2nd of this year in support of the Alberta One-Card initiative, we have chosen to give them an extra day over the log weekend to truly rest and recharge.

Our locations in Cold Lake and Bonnyville are closed Friday, Sept 4th and Monday, Sept 7th.

This additional day is a small but meaningful way for us to recognize and reward everyone for their hard wok and commitment to ensuring a successful transition.

Beware of scams

We are aware of fraudulent text messages that appear to come from a government organization that reference updates to driver's licences and health care cards.

These messages are scams.

If you receive one:

✅ Don't click any links

✅ Don't share personal or financial information

✅ Delete the message

The Government of Alberta will never send unsolicited text messages asking for personal or financial information. If you're unsure whether a message is legitimate, visit alberta.ca directly instead of clicking a link in a text message.

Please be aware there will be a provice wide system update! We are encouraging Albertans requiring a driver's license and ID to visit us before June 26th or after July 1st. We will be closing June 30th at 2pm for province wide undates. Sorry for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

Starting July 2, 2026, your driver’s licence and identification (ID) cards get a new design and added features. These updates will provide stronger protection against identity fraud and offer simpler, more secure access to services.

Alberta driver’s licence and identification (ID) cards will feature an enhanced design, additional information and security features.
