Are you a new parent or have a little one who is 0-18 months old?! If so, mark your calendars for next Thursday, October 15th! ABC Babytime is starting again at the Susan Andersen Library in Bow Island and will run weekly on Thursday mornings from 10:30-11:30am.
Baby group is a great way to meet others in the same season of life as you; share stories, swap advice and watch your infant start to interact with others around them. Learn tips from local infant care professionals or make a cute footprint keepsake... babytime is full of connection, learning and fun.
Let your friends know and drop in when it works for you!
Looking forward to meeting the new babies in our community... oh and of course their parents too! 😉

The days are starting to cool off and who knows when the first snowflakes will fall. With the cold and snow comes the Christmas season. For some, this can be a season of struggle.
The Christmas Giving Campaign supported by Forty Mile Regional FCSS and the County of Forty Mile Food Bank have their annual Christmas hamper campaign to try to help lighten the load and brighten the season a little for those who need a helping hand.

Do you know anyone who might need a little extra help this Christmas?

If so, there are a few ways to fill out an application:
*Stop by the FCSS office in either Bow Island or Foremost and pick up an application form.
*Use the QR Code in the graphic below to fill out the online application.
*Click on this link: https://surveys.questionpro.com/a/TakeSurvey?tt=8TY85%2B0ee%2BYECHrPeIW9eQ%3D%3D

Applications are kept strictly confidential.

Application deadline is Friday, November 20th.

There was a wonderful feeling of connection, culture and community in the County of Forty Mile today!

In honour of Truth and Reconciliation day, Theron Black and his family, from the Blood Tribe, came out to Foremost in the morning and Bow Island in the afternoon to share a bit of their culture through dance.

Both performances were interactive, with a focus on life long learning and building relationships. The traditional dancers were amazing and both events ended with a friendship round dance.

A huge thank you to the Bow Island Elks club for sponsoring this event and to Foremost and Senator Gershaw schools for hosting. Forty Mile Regional FCSS was happy to collaborate with these groups and bring another celebration to the County of Forty Mile in our 25th year of building communities, connections and partnerships!

It was wonderful to see so many schools and community members in attendance!
