Join the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh History Book Club, a friendly place to learn. At our next meeting, on Saturday, June 13, 11:30 am at the Bowen Library, we’ll be discussing part three of six of Tiná7 Cht Ti Temíxw: We Come From This Land: a Walk Through the History of the Squamish People by the Squamish Nation. Happy Pride, Bowen! We are looking forward to seeing everyone at the Pride Party tomorrow, June 6, at the pier! Come by the library table for button making, face painting, temporary tattoos, book displays, and to sign up for Summer Reading Club. 🌈

Our appreciation to Bowen Island Pride for putting on another wonderful Pride celebration for the community.

The Career Advisor helps with:
• Career advice, interviewing, resumes, education, training
• Programs and subsidies for employers, working parents, people
with disabilities, job searchers. Get a case worker & follow-up

The Community Integration Specialist helps with:
• Applying for Income Assistance and Disability Assistance
• Access to government services, obtaining ID
• Financial aid for housing and healthcare
• Funding for urgent needs (e.g. food & clothing)
• Case management, and more

Teens & pre-teens ages 11 and up — join us for a fun afternoon of Pride-themed crafting and activities! Saturday, May 30 at 1 pm.

Craft a mask to wear at Pride (Saturday, June 6) or just for fun. We’ll have a couple other activities, Pride-themed book displays, and a suggestion box for books and programs you’d like to see at the Library.

Pizza and snacks provided!
