August 31st is International Overdose Awareness Day.

Thank you to Councillor Alison Morse for including Bowen Island in the North Shore Purple Chair Campaign, a local initiative that honours those lost to the toxic drug crisis, helps reduce stigma, and raises awareness about available supports and resources.

Please help us spread the word that a Nasal Naloxone Kit is now available for 24/7 emergency use at the AED station by the Library parking lot. For non-emergency preparedness, Naloxone kits are available through the Bowen Island Health Centre.đź’ś

Join us October 4th for an afternoon with the candidates for Bowen Island Municipal Council and Mayor, hosted by the Library and the Undercurrent. Hear the candidates' perspectives on the issues shaping our community before you cast your vote.

Submit your candidate questions online to [email protected] or in-person at the Library before September 15th for the chance to have your question asked.

This event will be recorded and shared online afterwards for those who are unable to attend live.
