Today I have the honor of participating in the Italian Flag Raising here in Bradford West Gwillimbury. As someone proud of my own Italian roots, it was especially meaningful to celebrate the heritage, traditions and contributions of our Italian community.

Seeing so many friends, neighbours and families come together reminded me of the strength and spirit that make our town such a wonderful place to call home!

It was a pleasure to join members of our Portuguese community yesterday for the raising of the Portugal Flag in Bradford West Gwillimbury.

At today's Source Protection Authority meeting we recognized outgoing Source Protection Committee Chair, Lynn Dollin. First as a Councillor and now as Mayor in Innisfil, Mayor Dollin has led the South Georgian Bay Lake Simcoe Source Protection Committee for nearly 20 years, bringing diverse voices together and guiding consensus on decisions that help keep our source protection region’s source water safe. Today, we celebrate Mayor Dollin's remarkable leadership, her ability to unite and inspire, and her lasting legacy in protecting our source water for generations.

On behalf of our Source Protection Authority, we thank Mayor Dollin for her dedication and many years of exemplary leadership.

Big news for Bradford West Gwillimbury!

Southlake Health has launched its search for a partner to develop a new Advanced Care Centre right in BWG, bringing more healthcare services closer to home for our rapidly growing community.

This is a major milestone in Southlake's Distributed Health Network vision, and a true team effort between Southlake, the Town of BWG, and the Northern York South Simcoe Ontario Health Team.

And as we celebrate this exciting step forward, we also want to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you and farewell to MPP Caroline Mulroney, who has been a champion for York-Simcoe over the last eight years to ensure our communities have access to the care they deserve. Thank you, Caroline, for your dedication and for helping make moments like this possible. You will be greatly missed! 💙

I was shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Jim Collier.
It feels like I was with him just yesterday and he looked great!
He will be greatly missed.
My heart and thoughts go out to Carol and the Collier family.

Today is the visitation at Skwarchuck Funeral Home (30 Simcoe Road, Bradford) from 1pm - 4pm
