🧦🛁STOP THE HYGIENE BATTLE 🪥🧼

Tip 3

❤️Conversation itself—moving away from the lecture style and moving toward a collaborative, high-level coaching approach the "hygiene talk" usually wasn't a talk—it was a directive. You did it because you were told to, No questions asked!

🖤Parents/Caregivers navigating behavioral hurdles, the way we "START" this conversation changes everything.
If we approach it as an attack on their habits, their "defensive wall" goes up instantly. If we approach it as a "COLLABORATIVE LIFE SKILLS", we build a bridge🌉

❤️The Shift: Instead of "You need to shower because you smell," try "Let's look at your daily rhythm and figure out where a refresh fits best so you feel your most confident."

🖤We are moving from being the "Policing Parent" to the "Executive Coach." You’re giving them the tools to manage their own body, which reduces the friction and the meltdowns that come with being told what to do. 🧠💼

📞It’s a different world than the one we grew up in, but the goal is and will always be the same: raising healthy, confident humans if you need help with this struggles DM me for my free 30 min consultation.

💬 Sound Off!
How did the "hygiene talk" go in your house growing up? Was it a lecture or a lesson? **Share one emoji that describes your kid’s reaction when you bring up hygiene!** 🛀🏽🚿👇

Let me hold your hand while I say this... 🤝✨
Tip #2

Coming from a Caribbean household, we know the drill: "Cleanliness is next to godliness," and the schedule was NOT up for debate. Our parents and grandparents would probably have a lot to say about letting a pre-teen "choose" when they shower! 🇦🇬🇯🇲🇬🇩
But when you’re navigating complex behavioral challenges, CONTROL is often the biggest trigger.

By handing over the "when" and "how" of their hygiene routine, you aren’t lowering your standards—you’re increasing their autonomy. You’re moving from the "Enforcer" to the "Consultant." 💼

When we reduce the power struggles over the small stuff, we save that relationship equity for the big stuff. It’s about building a routine that works *with* their brain, not against it. 🧠💡

Does it feel scary to let go of the reins? Yes. Does it foster independence and reduce evening meltdowns? **Absolutely.** 💬 Let’s Talk more

Which side of the fence are you on? Are you team "My House, My Schedule," or are you experimenting with more autonomy for your kids?

🖤Drop a "YES" in the comments if you’re ready to try the "Consultant" approach this week!** 👇

🚿 Want your teen to actually stick to a hygiene routine? 🤔 Make it their thing! 💖

Tip #1 Take them shopping and let them pick products they LIKE – whether it's a zesty body wash, a cool deodorant, or a fave scent 💸. When they choose, they're more likely to use! 😄 Plus, it's a win-win: they get autonomy, and you get peace of mind 😌.
