06/05/2025
Here we go again for 2025! Registration is now closed and this will be the last announcement before the event this coming Saturday at Heart Lake Conservation Area, Brampton Ontario. 10am - 3pm. There is a lot of info here so please grab your beverage of choice and read it all.
First and most importantly, NO ALCOHOL will be permitted to be consumed on site! Peel Regional Police will be on site with one of their classic squad cars for the day so, if anyone is discovered consuming alcohol during the event or behaving in an unacceptable manner, they will be asked to leave the event. Please show some respect for the property and the event.
As mentioned, registration is now officially closed with a final of 149 cars registered (surpassing the 2023 high of 122) after duplicates were removed. If you didn't register, you can still show up. The only admission fee is the park fee, payable by debit/credit only at the gate.
The weather is looks to be sunny and ~ 23* with some clouds so bring sunscreen and bug spray along with your favourite lawn chair or canopy. There is lots of green space and trees offering shade as well. Non-alcoholic refreshments will be sold on site or bring your own non-alcoholic drinks. Washrooms are on site.
Another IMPORTANT note - there will be no ABM's on site but if last minute arrangements can be made in time, local business FoodHolic, our new food service provider does accept cash, debit and credit. The ice cream truck is cash only. We have requested vegetarian and non-gluten options for the few who have indicated at time of registration that they have a dietary preference and FoodHolic will do their best to provide options.
Debit and credit cards will be accepted for raffle ticket sales, and tickets will be priced the same as they were last year at 1 for $5, 5 for $20, 15 for $50 and 50 for $100. Hopefully, with the generosity of those organizations who donated the raffle items and your generosity towards ticket sales, we will be able to surpass our 2024 amount of $5500 raised and truly make a difference in a child's or family's life. Draws will be held at 12pm, 1pm and 2pm.
This year again, we will have an award in memory of a Mopar enthusiast who is no longer with us and this year, the award is named after Garry Gore, a friend of the Mopar community and an avid Mopar fan and Big Brother. Garry passed away a couple of weeks ago and his family will be attending with his car. This award for one vehicle, will be based on the choice of a small group of judges. Note that "Judge's Choice" might be based on anything from the shiniest car to a Christmas tree air freshener hanging from a mirror LOL. It is a very informal judging process! The award is meant to remember a friend and Mopar enthusiast more than anything else, and all of the judges have to agree unanimously on the vehicle being selected for the award.
There will be some home made GTALx signs (pictured below) directing you in, so keep an eye out for the signs.
That’s about it. Feel free to message us if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing old friends, making new ones and all while enjoying our cars and raising funds for a worthy cause, all in a beautiful park setting!
