Have you checked out today’s Brandon Sun?

Please give it a read! In it, I discuss the importance of mental health resources, additional funding for the school board to provide the very best to our children, and increased engagement with the community.

I also talk about what I can bring to the board, a fresh perspective and new energy. If elected, I intend to work hard and with integrity to serve this community!

I am running for School Board Trustee because I am a mom to two young children. I'm at school every day in the trenches with other parents who want the best for their little ones. I believe I can be an understanding and approachable board member for parents in the community to bring their concerns and questions.

I worked as a Research Assistant in the BU Psychology Department for several years with a focus on preschool enrichment and with Prairie Mountain Health in Crisis Services, Psychosocial Rehabilitation, and Child and Adolescent Services for nearly a decade before deciding to stay at home with my kids. I would love the opportunity to highlight the importance of mental health awareness in school, advocate for smaller class sizes, and lobby for more funding.

I look forward to working with the rest of the board to serve our community and create a wonderful learning environment for the children in our school division.

I have had several people ask me “What does the School Board do?” Swipe through to learn!!

I think it’s so important as parents and tax payers to know what the School Board does, how is functions, and where their responsibilities begin and end.

Then, we as a community, can elect people that you feel can fulfill those roles.

I am committed to advocating for parental and community engagement in the decisions made by the Brandon School Board.
