The exercise room at Hobbs is in full swing! 15+ residents at 10:30 Monday, Wednesday and Friday take part in chair yoga. A few grunts and groans but all in fun and thoroughly enjoyed by all! Everyone at Hobbs is welcome to join us, no cost of course, just getting those unused muscles working!

The new lockers are all built now and the finishing touches complete. The Hobbs Store’s new set up looks great and reopened to residents’ delight. Pictured are Ken White, Board Maintenance Chair, Hobbs Store managers Cheryl Tripp and Gail Whitecloud. Many thanks to Ken White who oversaw the basement renovations that was made possible by the excellent skill of Brian Stinton who transformed building materials into these new lockers. And many thanks to Cheryl and Gail for their hard work in preparing The Store for reopening. The renovations look great and we are all looking forward to an exciting year full of additional improvements around Hobbs.

We had a very informative presentation on Tuesday February 17 from the Alzheimer Society. Christine and Brenda filled us full of information on how dementia affects us, family and friends alike, and what to look for. They answered questions and explained in detail. We left much more knowledgeable in how this incurable disease can be dealt with in our lives.

Resident Council held a very successful Chinese supper to 59 residents! Residents paid $20 for an over-loaded plate of scrumptious food which was delicious! Thank you to Kim’s Restaurant, volunteers and especially the residents for their support! This was not a fundraiser, just a way to get together for fellowship.
