Our new wall display has been made and installed by Elevate Print Shop, formerly known as Carberry Signs. This display proudly features the list of our founding members who generously supported the concept of a seniors’ apartment building, 43 years ago. This display also reflects the collaboration between the Hobbs Board of Directors and the residents who call Hobbs home through the very active Resident Council. Our Vision, Mission and Core Values convey the heart of our community and the life we want to foster for all who call Hobbs Manor home. 🏢

Thanks to Pastor Andrew Lortie, Pastor Randy Stanton and lead installer Ken Hudson as they run the cabling for our new audio/video link up project. This project has been made possible with funding from the provincial grant program under Minister Glen Simard and the From The Ground Up funding program. This project links up three common rooms with audio/video; allowing many more residents to attend and take advantage of social and educational events within Hobbs Manor. This project also includes hearing assist devices for those are hearing impaired as well as 75” smart TVs for easy viewing. We were able to utilize this technology at our Gratitude Celebration on September 18th. Thanks so much to the volunteer lead installer, Ken Hudson, for his expertise and support! And a big thank you to Brian Johnson, owner of Extreme Electronics and staff for providing and installing the 3 - 75” Smart TVs at a discounted cost. They were very knowledgeable, friendly and supportive in helping this major project become a reality for our residents.

Hobbs Manor held our first Gratitude Celebration on September 18th, 2026 where we celebrated the many community partners, individuals and government departments that have been involved in supporting the improvement initiatives Hobbs has been implementing this past year. Their contributions made it all possible and the Board, staff and residents of Hobbs Manor are very grateful. Thank you one and all!❤️

Sunrise at Hobbs Manor this morning as we make final preparations for the Gratitude Celebration we are hosting this afternoon. We will be celebrating the many community partners, individuals and government officials that have been so supportive over the last 11 months, making several improvement initiatives possible. ❤️👏

Ben Wiebe & Co out to prepare a cement pad and walkway for the east side deck ramp that will be installed by CARM , along with the west side steps; providing two exits off our new deck that the Construction Association of Rural Manitoba, CARM, built late last fall. More to come 😃

A&L CYCLE setting up our latest piece of exercise equipment in our newly stocked exercise room! We are so grateful for the new equipment and exercise programs we are able to enjoy on a daily basis. 👍🏻👏😍

With the generous donations of plants from the Manager of Home Depot, City of Brandon and the manager of the Plant Department of Home Depot, volunteers residents and Board members at Hobbs Manor have been busy beginning the transformative work in our backyard. So much more to come 😃. We will keep you posted.
