Safe Families Canada - Brantford Safe Families extends community support to families-in-crisis by hosting children in safe families

Many families are experiencing difficulties such as financial problems, homelessness and unemployment. And due to migration and changes in society many of these families find themselves with no one to turn to for support. This is where Safe Families can help – We have Host Families who provide a loving sanctuary where parents can safely place their children in times of crisis allowing them time to

get back on their feet. Other volunteers extend the community safety net for these families by connecting them to resources and other supports.

This is such a beautiful volunteer role with Safe Families Brantford! Host Families welcome children into their home temporarily, giving space and time for parents to work through a challenge. In Brantford, our hosting of children is often short-term, usually just one day, or sometimes for only a couple of days.
