Safe Families Canada - Brantford Safe Families extends community support to families-in-crisis by hosting children in safe families

Many families are experiencing difficulties such as financial problems, homelessness and unemployment. And due to migration and changes in society many of these families find themselves with no one to turn to for support. This is where Safe Families can help – We have Host Families who provide a loving sanctuary where parents can safely place their children in times of crisis allowing them time to

get back on their feet. Other volunteers extend the community safety net for these families by connecting them to resources and other supports.

As a new school year begins, families across our communities are navigating transition, routine changes, and fresh starts. While back-to-school brings excitement, it can also bring heightened stress, financial pressure, and anxiety for vulnerable parents and children experiencing crisis.

At Safe Families Canada, we believe no family should navigate these moments alone. Would you join with us over the next couple weeks?

Join us in Praying for Students: Pray for safety, confidence, lasting friendships, and peace as children step into new classrooms.

Pray for Parents & Families: Pray for strength, wisdom, financial provision, and reliable support networks for parents managing overwhelming challenges.

Pray for Educators & Staff: Pray for teachers, administrators, and support workers as they foster safe, nurturing environments for every child.

Partner with SFC: Consider volunteering as a Family Friend, Host Family, Family Coach, or Resource Friend to wrap around a family in your local community this school year.

It’s a week of changes over here in Brantford! We say goodbye to Jessalyn, our Admin Assistant, who is going on maternity leave. Thank you Jessalyn for all that you have done for us in Brantford! We wish you well as you look forward to caring for your precious newborn daughter! We also say “Hello” and “Welcome” to Susie, who is our new Admin Assistant! We look forward to seeing how God will use you in this role!
