Statement:

We want to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who's shared updates and concern over the incidents that took place on nu:yah (new years day). With the situation before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice it was decided in good faith to pull back efforts directly on the frontline in an attempt for this to be honourably settled within the courts. Not even 12 hours later the City shared their true colours on the matter. In regards to the land it is "all " of our jobs here on mother earth to be stewards and take care and maintain the land and "not" destroy it. It's not just up to us who left our homes and families to stay there every day to do the responsibilities as onkwehoweh (the first people), it is up to every one of us because it is every single person's responsibility to take care of our mother earth. We need to work together to achieve a future for the coming generations. The land does not belong to us, we belong to the land.

We have not abandoned you. Our stance is solidified in keeping this space green. nia:weh (Thank you).

The City began by putting cement pillars at the front gate with city security blocking the entrance attempting to enforce an injunction not in effect.
Thus, completely disregarding their own laws; believing they are higher than the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and police services.
