Annual Camp Day 🏕️

Our residents, families, and staff came together for our annual Camp Day at the John Noble Home! Everyone enjoyed fun camping games, spending time together, and, of course, a delicious taste of summer with some yummy s’mores. 🍫🔥

It was a wonderful day filled with laughter, memories, and great company! ❤️

🎉 The 2026 Grand Parade is officially underway! 🎉

Today, the Grand River Council on Aging proudly launched our 2026 Grand Parade campaign at our Lead Sponsor, Aspira Brants Landing Retirement Living.

The Grand Parade is more than a walk—it's a celebration of older adults and a chance to support programs that help seniors stay informed, connected, and engaged throughout Brantford, Brant County, and Six Nations of the Grand River. ❤️

Our goal is to welcome 120 walkers and raise $40,000 to support programs like Community at Home, the Age-Friendly Calendar, the Seniors' Discount Directory, our bi-weekly newsletter, and the INFO HUB with more than 350 local resources available in over 100 languages.

✨Employee Spotlight Winner✨

Kim is a cornerstone of our finance team. She has stepped up to manage full-cycle corporate accounting for both the Day & Stay program and the Bell Lane Terrace Apartments portfolio. In addition to these responsibilities, she provides critical full-cycle accounting support for the main John Noble Home (JNH) ledger, keeping our entire department running smoothly. Kim runs full transactional accounting for the Day & Stay and Bell Lane while compiling complex provincial Ministry reporting packages. She also supports construction of year-end working papers and provides background tracking sheets to external auditors to wrap up the process efficiently.

We are proud to celebrate our amazing team members who have completed their IPAC Champion training! 👏

Our IPAC Champions play an important role in strengthening infection prevention and control throughout our home. They assist with audits to help identify gaps and opportunities for improvement, support the implementation of staff education, and work alongside our team to help prevent the spread of infections and keep everyone safe.
