Survivors need more than services. Survivors need housing.

When someone leaves violence, a safe and affordable place to live is so important. Long waitlists, rising rents and a lack of supportive housing leave too many survivors in our community with nowhere to turn.

City council makes decisions about housing every day: what gets built, who it's for, and how quickly people can get support.

Election Day is Monday, October 26. Before you vote, ask the candidates: how will you improve access to safe, affordable and appropriate housing for survivors in our community?

We're joining the Ontario Coalition of R**e Crisis Centres and centres across Ontario to Vote to End GBV.

Why volunteer at SAC? 💜

A lot of people tell us they want to support but don't know where to start. This is a good place. You don't need experience. We'll train you, and you won't be doing it alone.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, who shared their energy and used their voices to show everyone in Brantford that we believe survivors! A big thank you to our marshals for keeping us safe.

Shout out to folks who couldn’t make it out to the streets tonight. Your voices are heard and valued, and with us.

We can’t wait to do this again. Until next year, we’ll be storing this energy and light in a jar.
