Spring is officially in full swing here in Brentwood! 🐦 We have some very busy residents currently nesting in our observational boxes right here on Brisebois Drive, and you can watch all the action live.

We currently have two beautiful native Calgary species on camera:
Red-breasted Nuthatches: These energetic little birds are year-round locals known for their acrobatic "head-first" climbing and distinct white eye-stripes. They are cavity nesters that love the shelter of a cozy box.

Northern Flickers: One of our largest and most striking woodpeckers. You’ll recognize them by their spotted plumage and the flash of color under their wings. They are a backyard favorite in Calgary and are currently very active in our larger boxes.

If you’d like to host your own neighborhood guests, we have our Chickadee Chalets available for $95. These observational nesting boxes are perfect for attracting Nuthatches and Chickadees to your own yard.
