Please be advised that there is currently a power outage at West Northfield Elementary school. There will be no changes to dismissal times; students will be dismissed at the normal CLT dismissal time (i.e. 2 hours early). Students who have ordered lunch through the School Lunch Program will still receive it. The BAP program has been cancelled for the day. We are working on contacting parents with students in the BAP program. Parents of the BAP program can also email [email protected] to advise of alternate plans.

Understanding where our hurt comes from strengthens our healing journeys. Finding those roots can mean different things, like learning an illness runs in your family, or recognizing that because there was a time when expressing emotions wasn’t safe, you have a hard time saying how you feel today. Sometimes, learning about the histories of our families or communities also helps with healing.

Has history ever helped you heal?

We would like to remind parents and students that tomorrow, September 16 is a CLT day and schools will be dismissed two hours early.

What is Collaborative Learning Time? A professional learning community, or CLT, is a group of educators who meet regularly to review student assessment, student data, and collaborate on how to intentionally respond in the next 6 weeks about the academic performance and well-being of students. SSRCE's teachers are hard at work during collaborative learning time so they can keep improving their teaching practices to increase student success.
