We are seeking a helper/labourer to join our team of Fire Protection Technicians.
Opportunity exists to begin the path of becoming a licensed Sprinkler Systems Installer by beginning as an Apprentice Pipe Fitter.
Must have your own transportation.
Working with a licensed installer, duties include but are not limited to:
- measuring and cutting lengths of steel pipe and all-thread rod
- carrying materials onto job site work area (some heavy lifting required)
- assisting with installing and inspecting sprinkler systems with the licensed installers as required
- maintaining an accurate record of work hours and job projects performed
The right candidate should possess the following skills/assets:
- Proficiency in basic math for measurements and calculations
- Effective ability to use hand tools to perform job duties as highlighted above
- Construction experience preferred but not mandatory
- Intermediate level mechanical aptitude preferred
-Comfortable operating at heights (tied-off)
