One of our locals was kind enough to donate over 100pounds of unused coal from when they were using it to heat up their home back in a day!

Getting to use something that would otherwise be tossed has been a favorite part of the job but the cherry on top is the generosity & kindness so many small towns have so much of❤

This anvil has been around since this forge was first established in 1889. Faithfully serving two generations of the Pinkston's family. After which it was used by my mentor to teach me until finally being handed off to myself. Its a privilege to work with such a gorgeous piece of history, and exciting to think who she might yet serve down the road.
