Thank you from all of us at the Brooks & District Health Foundation.

Once again, our community has shown what is possible when we come together in support of local healthcare.

We are thrilled to share that the Golden Hour Gala raised $69,850, and donations have continued since the event, bringing total support to approximately $83,000, and counting.

This year’s gala supports the modernization of the neonatal resuscitation area within the OBS ward, where some of our most vulnerable newborns receive life sustaining care in their very first moments.

To everyone who made this possible, thank you. Whether you sponsored, donated an item, purchased a ticket, bid at the auction, volunteered your time, made a gift, or helped behind the scenes, you were part of this success.

We were also honoured to welcome elected officials and community leaders who joined us in celebrating and supporting this important effort.

The generosity we see throughout Brooks, the County of Newell and our surrounding communities reaches far beyond the success of a single event. Every investment in local healthcare helps us enhance the care available in our region, supports our ability to attract and retain healthcare professionals, and, most importantly, helps keep our families, friends and neighbours close to home when they need care most.

That is the impact of community supporting community.

As the Board of Trustees of the Brooks & District Health Foundation, we are honoured to serve as stewards of that generosity, working on behalf of our community to help ensure your support is directed where it can make a meaningful and lasting difference in local healthcare.

This is what community looks like.
