🚨 COMMUNICATIONS OUTAGE UPDATE – BUCHANS 🚨

☎️ LANDLINE SERVICE HAS BEEN RESTORED

Landline telephone service in Buchans has now been restored.

📱 CELLULAR SERVICE – NOT YET RESTORED
🌐 INTERNET SERVICE – NOT YET RESTORED

Bell technicians have completed all of the repair work they were able to complete within the time available today. The technicians have now reached the end of their permitted working time, and unfortunately, the remaining repairs will have to continue tomorrow.

We appreciate the work completed by the crews today and understand that repairing damaged fibre-optic infrastructure is a careful and time-consuming process.

At this time, we are hopeful that cellular and internet services will be fully restored tomorrow.

911 service is currently available by landline. Cellular service remains unavailable.

If you require emergency assistance, please call 911 from a landline. If you are unable to access a working landline or cannot get through to 911, please proceed directly to the hospital for assistance.
