More about
Chief Tanya Stone (Tanya Aguilar-Antiman) is the elected Chief of Mosquito, Grizzly Bear’s Head, Lean Man First Nation (MGBHLM) in Saskatchewan.
First elected in 2019, she has been re-elected three more times — most recently for a fourth consecutive term in November 2025.
Under her leadership, the Nation has focused on transparency, economic growth, infrastructure, and self-determination. Key highlights include:
• Securing a historic $141 million Specific Claims settlement in 2021 — the largest ever awarded by the Tribunal
• Launching new businesses (home construction, security, and a gas bar/convenience store) that create local jobs
• Advancing major community projects including housing, a new fire hall, and an interpretive centre
• Driving a $100 million casino, hotel and convention centre development expected to create hundreds of jobs
Chief Stone continues to lead with a strong focus on long-term economic opportunity and community growth for MGBHLM and the wider region.

CALLING ALL BUFFALO NARROWS CATERERS & FOOD VENDORS!
The Buffalo Narrows Economic Development Corporation (BNEDC) would like to invite all caterers, food vendors, restaurants, cooks, and local food businesses in Buffalo Narrows to a meeting on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, to discuss catering and meal opportunities for the upcoming 1st Northwest Saskatchewan Economic Development Summit on October 8, 2026. We want this Summit to create opportunities right here at home, and our goal is to have as many Buffalo Narrows caterers and food vendors as possible involved in providing meals and food services for the event.
Rather than giving the entire opportunity to one provider, we want to bring everyone together to discuss how the catering needs can be shared, coordinated, and delivered collaboratively. This is an opportunity to showcase our local food businesses while ensuring the economic benefits of the Summit stay within our community. If you are a caterer or food vendor in Buffalo Narrows, we want you at the table! Meeting will be at the complex for 5pm
Join us in 2026 for the Northwest Saskatchewan Economic Development Summit—connecting ideas and growth live!
