Kinda chic? Knowing how to be a considerate rider. 🚌✨

✨ Keep the aisles clear.
✨ Let people off before you get on.
✨ Headphones in, volume down. 🎧
✨ Keep your personal items close, especially when it’s busy.
✨ Priority seat? Be ready to give it up when someone needs it.
✨ See a stroller or mobility device? Make some room.
✨ And please keep food, drinks and personal items tidy.

Be kind to drivers and other riders

Because being mindful of the shared space is… kinda chic. Thank you for doing your part to make every Burlington Transit trip a positive experience.

Burlington wrapped up a productive week at the Association of Municipalities of Ontario 2026 Conference in Ottawa.

Key outcomes from the delegation meetings included:

🚗 Ministry of Transportation recognized the City's collaboration on minimizing traffic impacts during the QEW Burlington Bay Skyway Bridge Improvements project, setting a strong precedent for upcoming highway construction and managing traffic congestion.

🌾 Given its geography within the Ontario Greenbelt and Niagara Escarpment Area, and its large urban settlement area within the GTHA, the Ministry of Rural Affairs will closely examine Burlington's eligibility for funding under the Rural Ontario Development program.

🚒 The Ministry of the Solicitor General expressed interest in future pilot project opportunities with Burlington Fire and learning more about the City's innovative service delivery technologies at no additional cost to residents.

🚆 Discussions with the Ministry of Infrastructure emphasized the importance of prioritizing essential community amenities within Burlington's three Transit Oriented Communities at Aldershot, Burlington and Appleby GO Stations.
