š 100 DAYS UNTIL HALLOWEEN š
October 31 falls on a Saturday this year. No school night, no rushing homeājust a full day to get ready and a full evening to enjoy the magic of Halloween.
Letās make this a Halloween to remember. Carve a pumpkin, put out a few decorations, hand out candy, or dress up in a costume. It doesnāt have to be elaborate. This isnāt a competitionāI certainly donāt expect anyone to go to the extremes that I do! A carved pumpkin, a couple of tombstones, or even a fake spider is enough to help make our neighbourhood feel festive.
For the past 18 years, Iāve been creating a Halloween experience in The Orchard at Ravenwood Asylum, 5929 Blue Spruce Avenue. What started as a small display has grown year after year, and I look forward to welcoming everyoneāwhether youāre stopping by to admire the decorations, trick-or-treat for candy, or youāre brave enough to venture into the Ravenwood Asylum haunted house.
Most people know me as Dr. Zombie. Others know me as āthat crazy Halloween lady,ā and some simply know me as Christina. Whatever you call me, I canāt wait to share whatās new this year and see the excitement, laughter, and unforgettable memories that Halloween brings.
Setup begins in September, with most of the display ready by October 1, so there will be plenty of opportunities to visit throughout the month. Every Halloween night, more than a thousand visitors stop by, with many more coming throughout October.
I hope youāll join in the fun, help bring a little Halloween spirit to our community, and come experience the magic of the season.
š Happy Halloween! š
