If elected, I will work hard to promote and support the local interests of the people of Burnaby North. Economic prosperity for all is a key issue for me. Small and large businesses have been greatly affected this year and I will be your advocate on the road to recovery. In addition, I will fight to ensure that the redevelopment of Burnaby Hospital is not shortchanged by underfunding. I promise to be a pervasive presence in the community and a good listener. My door will always be open for you to bring issues of concern forward for discussion.

I am running for election under the BC Liberal Party banner because I believe that our party has the vision and courage to put the best interests of British Columbians first. Working in the frontlines during a global pandemic has made me realize that we need strong leadership and a committed group of legislators to lead our province forward into a recovery that will benefit all our citizens. There is no place for the self-serving opportunism displayed by the current government. In their time of greatest need for a steady hand at the helm, the people of British Columbia have been abandoned. The cynical disdain displayed by Premier Horgan, along with his multitude of broken promises cannot go unchallenged.

I am a heart specialist who has been caring for patients in Vancouver, Richmond, Delta, and Surrey since 1988. I was born in Vancouver and grew up in Vancouver’s Chinatown. After studying medicine at UBC and the University of Toronto, I came home to be with family and to start my practice. I have held many leadership roles in health care and have been deeply involved with Medical Education and Quality Improvement. My volunteer work includes serving on advisory councils for Diabetes Canada and the Surrey Memorial Hospital Foundation. I am the current Board Chair for the Vancouver Academy of Music. I am passionate about developing Preventive Health Strategies, supporting the Performing Arts, and embracing the cultural diversity in our communities.
