HIGHWAY 16 WATSON CREEK PROJECT UPDATE

Highway 16 at Watson Creek is now open to two-way traffic.

Crews have completed the emergency culvert replacement and the temporary traffic control measures have been removed. A reduced speed zone will remain in place while crews work on the next phase of the project.

Motorists are reminded to obey posted speed limits, watch for workers and equipment, and use caution when travelling through the area.

Thank you to the travelling public for your patience and cooperation as work continues at the site.

Emergency culvert repair work continues on Hwy 16 approximately 4 km west of the Six Mile Hill Brake Check.

Crews have made strong progress on the temporary bypass and culvert installation, with single lane alternating traffic still in effect through the area.

Please expect delays, slow down, and watch for traffic control personnel and heavy equipment on site. Thank you for your patience while this emergency repair is completed safely.
