🍂⚠️ Possible Freezing Overnight

Temperatures across the Lakes District are expected to drop below freezing overnight and into Wednesday morning.

Drivers should watch for localized frost or icy sections, particularly on bridges, shaded areas and low-lying sections.

Please slow down, allow extra following distance and drive to conditions.

Our crews will be monitoring conditions throughout the area.

Winter is coming... are you ready for winter tires? ❄️🚗

October 1 is getting close, and with northern B.C. weather, winter conditions can arrive long before the calendar decides to admit what's happening.

Before the snow starts flying:

Check that your winter tires are installed and in good condition.
Legal winter tires must have at least 3.5 mm of tread and display M+S or the three-peaked mountain/snowflake symbol.
Winter tire requirements are in effect on most B.C. highways from October 1 to April 30, with some lower-elevation routes ending March 31.
