This morning, Santa joined members from Base Gagetown Fire Service and RCMP to visit the Pediatric Department and patients of 4E at Horizon Health Network/Réseau de santé Horizon's Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Thank you for carrying on this annual tradition, spreading gifts and good cheer - it is appreciated by all!

With visits to the pediatric ward limited, Santa needed a big lift this year from firefighters and the Armed Forces.

Fill a Base Gagetown Fire Truck

Base Gagetown Fire Services will conduct their Food and Toy Drive this Saturday, December 19th, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Oromocto Sobeys parking lot.

Fire crews from Base Gagetown will be on site with their 115 foot Rosenbauer TRex Fire Truck to collect donations of non-perishable food items for the Oromocto Food Bank and toys and cash donations for the pediatric unit at Fredericton’s Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital through the Chalmers Foundation.

Last year’s event was a huge success with over 1,800 pounds of food, $655 in cash and 75 toys collected.

We invite our entire community to come help fill the fire truck and say hello to our Base Gagetown Fire Services crew to support and comfort our fellow neighbours in need this holiday season.

Remplissez un camion de pompier de la Base Gagetown

Le Service des incendies de la base de Gagetown tiendra leur collecte annuelle de denrées non-périssables ainsi que de jouets et d’argent comptant ce samedi le 19 décembre, de 9 h à 16 h, dans le stationnement du Sobeys à Oromocto.

Une équipe de pompiers sera sur place avec leur camion avec échelle aérienne à plateforme articulée de 115 pieds Rosenbauer TRex pour ramasser vos dons qui iront à la banque alimentaire d’Oromocto et à l’unité pédiatrique de l’hôpital régional Dr. Everett Chalmers à Fredericton par l’entremise de la fondation Chalmers.

L’événement a connu un grand succès année dernière en ramassant au-delà de 1,800 livres de nourriture, 655$ en argent comptant et 75 jouets.

Nous invitons notre communauté toute entière à venir nous aider à remplir le camion de pompier et dire bonjour à nos pompiers de la base de Gagetown pour aider nos voisins dans le besoin durant cette période des fêtes.
