Yesterday we hosted a youth event in South Calgary to network and talk with fellow Conservatives. Our first event was a success!
Special thanks to youth host Aarav Trivedi, and MLA Eric Bouchard and Mike Derry for co-hosting this amazing event!
We are starting to plan the next one in a few weeks, also looking for some planning volunteers.

So exciting that our CA was represented in Edmonton for the annual UCP presidents day.
Thank you Mike Derry for representing us for the day.

These are the incredible folks doing the hard work behind the scenes for conservatism.

Our UCP constituency presidents are the ones organizing events, raising funds, finding great candidates, and keeping everything running smoothly.

I am very grateful for everything they do to keep Alberta moving forward and yes, keeping it a beautiful blue.

Last week, a few of our local members attended the Calgary Campus Conservative event at MRU.
Great time, and a great event!

The Calgary Southeast Constituency Association invites you, your family and friends to join MLAs Matt Jones, Tanya Fir, Eric Bouchard, Myles McDougall, Rebecca Schulz and friends to our annual Brunch and Politics fundraiser.

Our annual brunch offers great food from possibly Calgary's best brunch venue, with some amazing people. This event offers an excellent opportunity to hear about provincial priorities and local initiatives. You get to ask questions and have 1-on-1 conversations with local MLAs and members of the constituency association (CA).

Our active CA invites you to join the conversation. Just last year, our policy and governance committee advanced several policies to the UCP AGM. Your ideas shape the priorities the UCP focuses on.

The money raised from this fundraiser stays in the local community, supports election efforts, and also community-focused events like our annual South Calgary UCP Stampede Breakfast.

Premier Danielle Smith and Minister of Justice Mickey Amery released the following statement on the Federal Court of Appeal decision on the Emergencies Act:

We are pleased that the Federal Court of Appeal has sided with Alberta that the use of the Emergencies Act by the federal government in 2022 was unlawful and infringed the Charter right to freedom of speech, upholding the 2024 Federal Court decision.

This decision is a win for freedom and for Canadians.

Alberta was granted intervenor status and made clear that the federal government failed to consult Alberta as required under the Emergencies Act, and did not meet the definition of national emergency to justify its use.

Alberta’s government will always use every legal tool at our disposal to push back against unconstitutional federal actions, and to protect and promote freedom in this federation.

We’re investing $2 million, matched by the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation, to plan an expanded inpatient tower and a new research centre.

The Alberta Children’s Hospital expansion will add 40 acute care beds, 10 mental health beds, and a Centre for Research & Innovative Care.

Once complete, the project will expand capacity and help keep Alberta at the forefront of medical research.
