CFN and Skate with Wong invite newcomers youth ages 6 - 15 to this 4-week Introduction to Ice Skating. Learn the foundational skills to participate in one of Canada’s favourite past-times! Funded by the Calgary Flames Foundation, participants will gain the confidence to participate in recreational ice skating activities such as hockey, figure skating, and ringette, and simply the joy of ice skating in the community. We have booking available 7 days a week for Road Tests at East Calgary Registry. You can use your own car for the test or borrow one from a friend, as long as insurance and registration are valid. If you don’t have a vehicle, we have rental cars available for $85 plus GST. You can book online or in our office.

Affordability Payments! $600 to qualifying Albertans (seniors or parents of children under 18 with household income under $180k). Bring your ID (proof of address required if you don’t have an Alberta DL or ID), your SIN number and your bank info and we will apply in your behalf. You can also apply for your spouse - just make sure you have their consent and bring their Social Insurance Number.

Fraudulent texts are circulating asking Albertans to submit banking information to receive their affordability payments. Be vigilant about potential scammers. The Government of Alberta will never send emails or texts asking for this kind of information.

The only way to apply for affordability payments is by going online at alberta.ca/affordable or in person to an Alberta Registry or Alberta Supports Centre.

Alberta seniors and parents/guardians of children may be eligible for Affordability Payments of $600 from the Government of Alberta. To qualify, you must have a family income of $180k or less, have been a resident of Alberta as of Nov 30, 2022 and not be receiving certain benefits such as Alberta Seniors Benefit. You can apply in our office. We encourage you to join the line on our website so you don’t have to wait in the office.

Today is the last day to renew your plate if it expires in August. You can renew on our website or in our office. We are open 9-6 during the week, 9-5 on Saturday and 12-5 on Sunday.
