🔥Grassfires can - and do - occur during the spring, and conditions often pose special challenges for our Fire Services as access can be limited during the melt.

🚒Now is a good time to check your burn piles. Old burn piles can smoulder underground for weeks. They can spark up without warning, creating fast-moving grass fires.

🔥 If you burned large pits or debris piles over winter, please:
✅ Check the site regularly
✅ Stir it, soak it and stir it again.
✅ Don’t assume it’s out
