We made Takikomi Gohan (Japanese mixed rice) using the dashi we prepared in our previous video! 🐟 Once you have the basic seasoning, you can add any ingredients you like! 👍
📝 Ingredients
【Rice Base】
・2 cups of rice
・300 ml of dashi stock
・30 ml of soy sauce
・15 ml of mirin
・15 ml of cooking sake
【Additional Ingredients】
・Bamboo shoots
・Carrots
・Ginger
・Leafy greens
📝 The Process
1. Wash 2 cups of rice.
2. Soak the rice in water for 30 minutes.
3. Drain the water.
4. Add the dashi stock, soy sauce, mirin, bamboo shoots, carrots, and ginger to the pot.
5. Cook over high heat until it comes to a boil.
6. Once it comes to a boil, reduce the heat to low and cook for 15 minutes.
7. Turn off the heat and add the leafy greens.
8. Put the lid back on and let it steam for 5 minutes.
9. Turn the heat back up to high and cook for 1 minute.
