HIDDEN GEM ALERT!

Did you know there are 3 AV Editing Suites inside the Taylor Family Digital Library (TFDL)?

These suites, located on the 3rd floor, have gotten a much-needed makeover thanks to a Students’ Union Quality Money grant!

Book them to record and edit audio recordings, music, films, oral history interviews and podcasts.

If you’ve been thinking about starting a creative project, now is the time!

David Garneau, BFA'89, MA'93, acclaimed Métis artist and scholar, is the exhibiting artist at the university's Founders' Gallery (located inside The Military Museums).

The exhibitions, David Garneau: Dark Chapters and Reading the Ruins, utilize metaphorical still-life paintings to convey the lived experiences of contemporary Indigenous peoples navigating the legacy of colonialism and institutional containment.

ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS!

Apply now for the Melvin Crump Creative Residency as part of the 2026-2027 Archival Residency Program.

The selected UCalgary student will consult Melvin Crump's archive and create an artistic response to the materials. The student will have access to all of the materials in UCalgary Library's Archives & Special Collections to create the response.

Applications are due on August 28.
