Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Granddaughters Home Care! This Thanksgiving, we are grateful for family, friends, community, and the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others. On Sunday, we had the privilege of teaming up with Classic LifeCare to participate in the Alzheimer Calgary Walk & Run! Despite the chilly weather and snow, it was a wonderful day filled with smiles and laughter, all in support of an incredibly important cause. We are thankful to everyone who came out, showed their support, and helped make the day so special. From our Granddaughters family to yours, we wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with love, laughter, and plenty to be grateful for!

Such a lovely surprise visit today! One of our amazing team members stopped by the office and brought along some delicious homemade treats to share. More than the food, it was the chance to sit, visit, laugh and catch up that made the afternoon so special. We are so fortunate to have such kind-hearted and incredible humans on our team. Thoughtful gestures like this are a wonderful reminder that the relationships we build with each other are just as meaningful as the work we do.

Today, on National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we honor Residential School Survivors, remember the children who never returned home, and recognize the lasting impacts experienced by families and communities across generations. At Granddaughters Home Care, we take this day as an opportunity to reflect, listen, learn, and recognize the importance of truth, healing, and reconciliation. As we continue caring for our clients and supporting our community today, we do so with respect and remembrance.

Happy Canada Day! Today we celebrate the people, values, and history that have shaped the country we are proud to call home. We also take a moment to remember those whose courage and sacrifice helped build the Canada we know today, including many of the remarkable individuals we have the privilege of caring for. The photo was taken at Canada House in Courseulles-sur-Mer, France, overlooking Juno Beach, where Canadian troops landed on D-Day in 1944. Standing there is a powerful reminder of the respect Canada has earned around the world and the pride we should all feel in calling this country home.
