Calgary Police Discovery Day September 18th

Calgary Police Discovery Day is a full community experience designed for families, youth and residents who want to learn more about policing in Calgary. The event features live demonstrations, officer meet and greets, interactive exhibits and hands-on safety education. Visitors can explore police equipment, watch outdoor presentations and connect directly with CPS members in an engaging and welcoming environment.
Career Path Exploration: A major focus of the event is helping visitors learn about the many career paths within the Calgary Police Service. This includes both sworn officer roles and the wide range of civilian positions that support policing every day. Guests can speak directly with recruiters and CPS members to learn about training requirements, application steps, specialized units, civilian career opportunities, and the skills needed to succeed in each role. It is an accessible way for students, job seekers and future recruits to explore policing as a potential career and ask questions in a welcoming, community-focused setting.
